I’ve spent more than 15 years working inside schools, supporting students, collaborating with teachers, and helping families navigate the special education system.
Over the years, I’ve taught students with diverse learning needs, led IEP development, and helped design programs that support both academic growth and social-emotional development. Much of my work has focused on supporting students with autism and ADHD and helping schools create environments where these learners can succeed.
Because I’ve spent so many years inside school systems, I understand how decisions are actually made, how teams approach supports, how IEP meetings unfold, and where families often feel stuck in the process.
My connection to this work is also personal. Special needs advocacy isn’t just part of my professional life, it’s part of my family story as well. That experience shapes how I support parents: with empathy, honesty, and practical guidance grounded in real understanding.
Having grown up in Montgomery County, I know the local schools and the community families are navigating. That familiarity helps me guide parents with insight into how the system works here and what supports are truly possible.
I live in Rockville with my husband, our two kids, and our dog, Commander Tubby.
When I’m not working with families, you’ll most likely find me at a swim meet, on the sidelines of a soccer field, or chasing down a good latte with a book.
My goal is simple: to help parents understand the system, advocate confidently for their children, and build the right supports so their kids can succeed in school and beyond.
